Knowing how best to care for your home when you’re miles away for extended periods of time can be challenging. With the Absentee Home Watch program, The Scout Group assures absentee homeowners their property is being carefully monitored in their absence.
Upon enrollment, homeowners are assigned a dedicated and trusted representative to perform and report routine inspections and to address any concerns you may have while you’re away. An insured and bonded representative of The Scout Group will remove indicators of absence (mail, brochures, etc.) and complete a thorough interior and exterior inspection of your property designed to prevent potential problems from occurring. These inspections are customized to the homeowner’s needs and can be performed on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Our Keyholder / Wait Services are designed to provide absentee homeowners with a secure way to have your key available for service in your absence or in case of emergency. If a need arises an insured and bonded representative of The Scout Group will oversee the entry and exit of service providers, cleaners, owner-approved friends, renters, etc.
Maintaining the highest levels of security, The Scout Group will code your key and security codes, both of which will then be stored in a locked safe in our secure offices.
The Scout Group provides Alarm Response Services, acting as the owner’s representative on behalf of the absentee homeowner in responding to security alarms. A representative of The Scout Group will report to the premises and relay findings to the homeowner.
Pre-Arrival Services are designed to eliminate the hassle of returning to a vacant home. A member of The Scout Group will ensure that you return to a home at the temperature you specify, verifying that the main water supply, hot water heater, and refrigerator/freezer are all properly operational. Additionally, homeowners may request that outdoor furniture and cushions be returned to their designated locations.
At the owner’s request, The Scout Group can provide complete housecleaning or just a pre-arrival ‘refreshment,’ including fresh laundered linen and dusting. Better still, opt for our Concierge Services and allow us to do your grocery and beverage stocking, provide fresh floral arrangements, and/or assist you in arranging a car service.
You’ve finally arrived, the car’s unpacked and you’re eager to feel the sand beneath your feet – but WAIT – first someone has to head back out to the grocery store to tackle the massive grocery list. This all-to-familiar scenario can easily be avoided with The Scout Group’s signature Grocery and Beverage Delivery.
Coordinated with your arrival, a member of our team will receive your grocery list, clarify any questions, then purchase and deliver your order. When you arrive, your refrigerator and pantry (and/or bar) will be stocked and waiting, allowing you to begin relaxing from the moment you arrive.

Whether you’re leaving in a hurry or just need a helping hand, our Departure Services are designed to relieve the stress of leaving. Acting as a second set of eyes after your departure, The Scout Group will ensure that your home is returned to a secure absentee state.
Think of Departure Services as a reversal of our Pre-Arrival Service. A member of The Scout Group will ensure that your thermostat has been reset to the temperature you specify, verifying that the main water supply, hot water heater, and refrigerator/freezer are all properly returned to an absentee state. Additionally homeowners may request that outdoor furniture and cushions be returned to their designated locations.
The Scout Group will accommodate whatever cleaning preferences a homeowner may request. Whether a homeowner chooses routine housekeeping, a departure cleaning or a semi-annual deep cleaning, The Scout Group can provide affordable quality cleaning services overseen by our meticulous staff.
What to do when you depart on Sunday but the Garbage and Recycling pickup isn’t until Tuesday? The Scout Group can handle that, providing on-demand services ensuring that your garbage and recycling containers are placed for pickup and returned securely, coordinated with local garbage and recycling schedules. For homeowners making more frequent visits, adjustable year-long contracts are available.
The Scout Group provides transportation coordination through a local car service of your choice or through a service we highly recommend.
Additionally, for homeowners enrolled in the Absentee Home Watch program The Scout Group offers Vehicle Transportation Services. This signature service provides transportation of your automobile to the airport where it will be waiting upon your arrival. Additionally, if upon your departure you would prefer to drive your own vehicle to the airport, a licensed member of our team can coordinate the pick-up and return delivery of your vehicle to your home, completed in a timely manner.
